Today’s wine cellar

Got a call to look at a wine cellar split. Found 7/8 and 3/8 line sets. Should be 1/2 and 1/4. Customer doesn’t want to change lineset because it worked before. He wants a compressor. Another company just installed one six months ago. Breezair wksl 4000.

Cap tube Evap. Site glass outside.

134a. 65 degree ambient. 65 in wine cellar. 35/120. 1 degree compressor sh. Subcooling 24. Was confused with the cap tube and site glass combo. Cap tube should be critical charge charge. Really basic system. Complaint is it won’t keep up when hot.

Am I missing something? I say correct line sets then check out system again.

Any advice on site glass with cap tube?
